Instead of battling with metallic thread, embroider these in white polyester or rayon thread. After rinsing the water-soluble stabilizer out, rub a small amount of glitter POWDER on them. This is NOT the flake type of glitter but a very fine sparling powder. It sticks to the wet thread and when dry gives the look of metallic shine without the hassle of working with a sometimes difficult type of thread. I actually like this method better than using metallic thread for most things!
These designs were tested by hooping 2 layers of Vilene stabilizer. This is not a requirement, but a recommendation, for best results. I have also used 1 layer of Fabric Solvy.
Please use extreme caution when resizing FSL designs that you purchase! Many times this will result in lace that does not hold together.
